Motorcycle Pre-Purchase Inspection: What We Check

Motorcycles have unique failure points that standard auto inspections miss. Here's what our inspectors look for.

Motorcycles are high-stakes purchases — small issues can be safety hazards. Our motorcycle inspections cover: frame straightness (crash damage), fork seals and suspension condition, brake pad thickness and rotor condition, tire wear and cracks (especially sidewalls), chain/belt condition and tension, battery health, throttle and clutch cable condition, and a full run of the electrical system including lights and signals. We also note cosmetic damage and any signs of prior accident repair. Get the full picture before you ride it home.
